University of Plymouth

How we partnered with a University to support them through a restructure

When the University of Plymouth underwent a restructure affecting 210 employees, Penna worked in close partnership with the University and its HR team to maintain morale on campus and support staff in their decision to stay or leave the University. For those leaving the University, Penna were asked to support the transition into their chosen route.

L’Oreal

How we partnered with a global manufacturer to support them through a major redundancy and redeployment exercise

L’Oreal UK Limited announced a fundamental change in its manufacturing strategy within the UK. A key outcome of this was the transfer of production of many products to other L’Oreal manufacturing facilities and the transfer of the UK manufacturing facility to an outsourced partner, leaving L’Oreal to focus on the value added areas of market branding and customer service.

When BP decided to separate and sell off part of its Petrochemicals arm, it meant displacing a significant number of employees. To manage this process and maintain employee motivation, the company worked in partnership with Penna, creating a resource centre to support employees and give advice and guidance in continuing their career.
