Stephen Rowlinson, Chairman, aged 73

Stephen Rowlinson's early career included advertising in the USA, manufacturing in the UK and management consultancy with McKinsey in London and Amsterdam. In the 1980's he entered the human resource sector as Chief Executive of Korn Ferry's UK operation. In 1989 he became Chief Executive of Sanders & Sidney plc which was renamed Penna Plc in 1991. In 1992 he left Penna to found his own company and made a series of acquisitions to create Bartlett Scott Edgar, which became one of the UK's leading recruitment and recruitment advertising businesses and was sold in 2001 to a major international group. Stephen rejoined the Penna Board in December 2004 and became Chairman in February 2005.

Gary Browning, Chief Executive, aged 52

Gary Browning joined Penna in 2002. He was appointed Director of Operations in 2004 and joined the Board in February 2005. Gary’s earlier career included 12 years with the WPP Group where, from 1997 to 2002, he was Managing Director of BDG McColl Ltd. Gary is a Chartered Accountant and qualified with KPMG having studied for his degree at Warwick University.

David S P Firth, FCA, Finance Director, aged 52

David Firth qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Thomson McLintock in 1985. He joined the Board of the Company in September 1999. Previously he was Finance Director of Parity Plc.

Graham Paton, Non-Executive Director, aged 44

Graham has considerable experience within the human resources sector and was a co-founder and a Managing Director at the independent corporate finance advisory firm Hawkpoint Partners Limited. He joined the Board of the Company in November 2012.

Leslie Jane Ferrar, CVO FCA BSc, Non-Executive Director, aged 57

Leslie has extensive experience within the professional services sector having been a partner in KPMG's Human Capital Tax Practice for 17 years before becoming Treasurer to TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall in 2005. Current positions include Audit Committee of HMRC, Director of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and of CAFOD ( the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales). She joined the Board of the Company in January 2013.
