Gen Up - New Penna Research
With four generations currently in the workplace (and a fifth soon to join them) generational diversity is rapidly emerging as a major issue for employers. In fact, it’s already having an impact. So we decided that it warranted a closer look.
Working with the CIPD, we carried out extensive research and produced the Gen Up research report. In it we’ve dispelled some myths, uncovered some surprises and found out what the four generations really want from their employers. We’ve also suggested steps companies can take to avoid some of the conflicts that may arise.
Want to know what 5,500 people across Europe think about generational diversity?

Penna listed 29th in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For
At Penna, we are proud to have been listed twenty-ninth in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies To Work For 2008.
As the only Human Capital Management consultancy on the list, we think this says a lot about us; we practise what we preach. We work hard to create meaning at work, earning the recognition of our people and proving that what we do works commercially. And we know, as we advise our clients, that when our people are engaged we perform better.
Penna was ranked third for saying ‘thank you’ with 82% of managers regularly expressing their appreciation and fourth for being a caring employer with 85% of employees saying they felt ‘cared for’ by the company. A further 83% said that co-workers would go out of their way to help each other.
The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For is the biggest UK staff engagement survey and assesses companies across eight areas including company leadership, employee wellbeing, relationships with managers and personal growth.
This is a great achievement for us and we look forward to building on this success in the future.
