We are now approaching the 7th year of working in partnership with the Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI). In 1999, an independent review of policing in Northern Ireland, established under the terms of the Good Friday agreement recommended the creation of a new, smaller force.

Devon and Cornwall Police
Devon and Cornwall Police underwent a challenging Workforce Modernisation programme to shape the Force to meet the policing needs of today’s communities and become a top-performing Force by 2012. Working in close partnership with the Devon & Cornwall Police, Penna developed a programme of support for individuals affected and timetabled delivery to match the rolling process over a 14 month period.

Toshiba Information Systems
In 2009 Toshiba Information Systems transferred the assembly of television sets from the UK to Poland resulting in the loss of 263 jobs in Plymouth, Devon. Penna co-ordinated and delivered outplacement support during the restructure and continues to work closely with the remaining 52 personnel on site.

BP
When BP decided to separate and sell off part of its Petrochemicals arm, it meant displacing a significant number of employees. To manage this process and maintain employee motivation, the company worked in partnership with Penna, creating a resource centre to support employees and give advice and guidance in continuing their career.

L’Oreal
L’Oreal UK Limited announced a fundamental change in its manufacturing strategy within the UK. A key outcome of this was the transfer of production of many products to other L’Oreal manufacturing facilities and the transfer of the UK manufacturing facility to an outsourced partner, leaving L’Oreal to focus on the value added areas of market branding and customer service.

University of Plymouth
When the University of Plymouth underwent a restructure affecting 210 employees, Penna worked in close partnership with the University and its HR team to maintain morale on campus and support staff in their decision to stay or leave the University. For those leaving the University, Penna were asked to support the transition into their chosen route.

Flybe
When Flybe reached an agreement with British Airways to acquire its BA Connect airline, this process instantly made Flybe the largest regional airline in Europe, and one of the largest airlines in the UK.
