Welfare to Work
The Department for Work and Pensions is radically reforming the UK Welfare to Work system and one point is very clear – the heightened importance of identifying and maintaining sustainable employment opportunities for jobseekers.
To achieve increased sustainable employment placements, Providers will need to consider innovative approaches to working with jobseekers, including objective and efficient ways to assess their employability skills from day one, and realistic, attainable career options and advancement plans.
Through our suite of CMyPeople tools, Penna enables Welfare to Work Providers to assess job seekers’ readiness for work and employability skills. Using this insight, jobseeker support workers can identify sustainable employment opportunities which match jobseekers’ skills profiles and aspirations.
The CMyPeople suite of assessment tools have been proven to underpin Providers’ successful employer engagement strategies and can facilitate career advancement for the long-term unemployed.
Our Get Set Work tool offers 24-7 online support. An interactive online career guidance tool, Get Set Work offers ‘self service’ support to people seeking employment through a 7-step workflow.
Penna is also delivering Work Programme services directly to jobseekers in Scotland, as part of the Ingeus Vocational Routeway network. We will work with professional and executive jobseekers who have been unemployed for at least 12 months. The focus will be on providing a professional environment, innovative online resources and network development. CMyPeople will inform the programme by identifying transferrable employability skills and job options for targeted search activities.
