'Salute the Black Sisters': A Poem for Black History Month 2023

“Here we are, looking into the future. Eyes bright, minds alert. Hope ignited”

Sandra Pollock OBE’s emotional and thought-provoking poem was one of the highlights of our recent Black History Month event. Speaking of hope for the future, and how we need to empower Black women in their pursuit of leadership roles, the poem was an incredible reminder of the importance of supporting Black women.

“Still, courage engaged, confidence emboldened, by the hope that our tomorrow will be better”
